AIR
On January 19, 1998, the world discovered “Moon Safari”, the debut album by Versailles duo AIR, a retro-futuristic UFO that left an indelible mark on music history. A hushed identity of multiple textures and delicate compositions. AIR takes us into an astral, melodious universe, a sensory voyage between guitar, synth, piano and vocoder vocals to escape for a moment. After a career spanning 8 albums and 16 years, the band broke up in 2014, leaving behind a mark that will forever be anchored in global electronic music. In 2023, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the cult classic “Moon Safari”, Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel, reformed the band for an international tour marked by an unforgettable performance at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
